Coronado

Last Saturday I explored the cute little town of Coronado, San Diego, walking around the famous Hotel Del with a perfect cup of coffee and great company. We made a quick stop ay Clayton's Coffee Shop on Orange Ave for a steaming hot double shot dirty chai, which was perfect for the quick drizzle of rain we encountered. And as we strolled around the neighborhoods, trying to imagine what it would be like to live in one of those houses, I realized that despite being only a short car ride away from school, it felt like a whole another world; beautiful and interesting in its own small town way.

But maybe that's how all places are, no matter the number of miles it takes to get there, just the act of getting out of a routine, is all it takes to feel refreshed. I guess that's what makes exploring so exciting, and maybe even, a little necessary.
